A first estimate appears after two taps. Six to eight consistent taps give the stability meter enough evidence to be useful.

No. It records only the timing of your taps. It does not request microphone access, upload audio, or identify songs.
It stays in this browser’s local storage. Export a JSON backup if the set matters, because clearing browser data can remove local sets.
After the first complete visit, supported browsers cache the app for offline use. Installing it to your home screen makes repeat access easier.
The click uses the browser’s Web Audio clock and schedules slightly ahead to avoid ordinary interface-timer jitter. We do not claim hardware or studio-clock certification.
