Privacy at TempoTally

Effective July 24, 2026 · Last updated July 27, 2026

The short version

TempoTally has no account system or setlist database. Your song information stays in browser storage on your device unless you choose to export or share it. Optional analytics must wait for your choice and must never include your song titles, notes, set names, or other entered content.

Who operates this site

TempoTally is operated by Aurelian Syndicate. Privacy questions can be sent to support@aureliansyndicate.com.

Information stored on your device

TempoTally uses browser storage to remember setlists, song details, tempos, keys, count-in preferences, performance notes, and app settings. The service worker may cache the app's HTML, JavaScript, styles, manifest, and icons so the tool can reopen offline.

This local information is controlled by your browser. It can be removed through TempoTally's controls where provided or by clearing site data in your browser. Clearing site data, private browsing behavior, or device changes can erase it, so export a backup before doing so.

Information processed when you visit

Like most websites, the hosting and security infrastructure may automatically process limited technical information needed to serve and protect the site, such as an IP address, request time, browser type, requested page, and error or security events. TempoTally does not receive your locally stored setlist content as part of ordinary page requests.

The hosting network may set a strictly necessary security cookie to identify automated or abusive traffic. This cookie protects the service and is not the same as optional analytics consent.

Optional analytics

TempoTally may use Google Analytics after you affirmatively accept analytics. It may measure page visits and coarse, non-content actions such as starting a tap session, saving a song, entering run mode, or using an export. Analytics events must not contain song titles, notes, set names, keys, exact setlists, exported files, or other text you enter.

If you decline, optional analytics remains disabled. You can reopen Analytics settings at any time from the lower edge of the site. The choice is saved in this browser as tempotally-analytics-consent. Clearing this site's storage resets it. Google's handling of information is governed by its own terms and privacy materials.

Advertising and affiliate links

Display advertising is not currently active. TempoTally loads Google’s AdSense connection script and publishes its verified publisher information so Google can review the site, but no display ad unit is requested because ad-unit identifiers have not been configured. Advertising storage and personalization consent are denied by default.

If display ads are activated, Google and its advertising partners may process browser and device details, IP-derived approximate location, page and referrer information, cookies, or similar identifiers to select, deliver, limit, and measure ads. Song titles, notes, set names, keys, exact setlists, exported files, and other local tool data will not be sent as advertising parameters. A Google-certified consent platform will be used where required. When the advertising consent interface is available, “Privacy & ad choices” will let you revisit those choices. Ads will remain outside the tap controls, setlist editor, run mode, and printed set sheet.

Some clearly identified outbound links may be affiliate links. TempoTally may earn a commission from an eligible purchase at no additional cost to you. Affiliate partners receive the information involved in following their link and purchasing on their site; they do not receive your local TempoTally setlists from us.

Exports and sharing

JSON, CSV, printed, copied, or shared setlists are created at your request. Once you download a file, copy text, use a device share sheet, print, or send information to another service, that copy is controlled by you and the receiving app or service.

Children

TempoTally is a general music utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to create accounts or submit personal information.
